Sergio Ortiz is a freelance writer and photographer based in
Malibu, California. His work has appeared in a wide range of top-notch
publications that include Vanity Fair, Paris Match,
TIME, Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Inquirer
and Boston Globe.
His more than 30-year professional background includes stints
as a combat correspondent and as a reporter and photographer for
a major metropolitan daily. He has also worked as a wire-service
photo editor and house organ editor for a Fortune 500 oil company
as well as senior editor for San Diego's Ranch & Coast Magazine,
a slick, 200-page consumer publication.
Today, Ortiz devotes a great deal of time to travel writing and
photography. He is as versatile with a camera as he is with a
notepad and pencil.
